Created to show the fresh, fruity and spice driven flavours of classic Rhone varietals.
The nose is one of crushed black pepper, dark mulberry and mixed berry coulis. Pure, clean dark red berry flavours flow onto a smooth palate with sufficient structure to warrant enjoyment with food such as Gourmet Pizza.
Edgbaston has been owned & operated by the Finlayson Family since 2004 though their winemaking history in South Africa goes back three generations and includes the world class estates of Hartenberg, Blaauwklippen & Glen Carlou. Current wine maker David Finlayson has worked all over the world, gaining valuable experience in many wineries including Chateau Margaux and Peter Lehmann wines.
