Rolf Binder Heinrich Shiraz Mataro Grenache 2012
From low yielding old vines, each variety adds its individual pedigree with nuances of chocolate, raspberry, beef stockpot and a berry fruit sweetness. The finish is dry and persistent with subtle oak and tannin adding to the fruit characters. A full and comprehensive wine that is in its optimum drinking window presently.
The ‘Heinrich’ is a tribute wine to Rolf and Christa’s father, Rolf Heinrich Binder as he loved to work with these three great Barossa varietals – Shiraz, Mataro and Grenache.
