Tasting on Thursday 11 September
From the oak-aged elegance of Rioja to the storied châteaux of Bordeaux, join us for an evening where two iconic wine regions go head-to-head in a tasting like no other. Discover the deep-rooted connection between these historic rivals—shaped by shared techniques, distinct climates, and generations of winemaking passion. Deal’s Beach Sommelier Paola Tich will take you through wines from each region as we explore how Tempranillo compares to Cabernet, and what sets Spanish soul apart from French finesse.
As usual, there will be a glass of fizz on arrival followed by a tasting of 2 whites and 4 reds. The night starts at 6.30pm, sitting down to taste at 7pm. Tickets cost £35 per person – please pop in to the shop or use our email to secure a place.
