P Ferraud & Fils Fleurie 2007

This wine begs to be tasted, with its beautiful crimson colour and brilliant tints that draw the eye. The nose is full of subtlety and is at once complex and delicate. In the mouth, the attack is surprising -smooth, full and well-rounded. This wine has so much character it can be drunk on its own for the sheer pleasure of it, as well as with unpretentious meals. Wines from this Domaine are usually at their best slightly later in their life, but this precocious bottle is ready to be enjoyed immediately. It will retain all liveliness over the next three years, after which it will calm down and be best served at a slightly higher temperature - and has a more "Burgundian" approach.
